How to install

Google TV and Android TV

  1. Allow app installs on your TV. On your Chromecast with Google TV, open Settings, go to System, then About, and select the Android TV OS build several times to unlock Developer options. Back in Settings, under Apps or Security, turn on installs from unknown sources.
  2. Get the APK onto the device. Download the PickAVI APK using a browser or a sideload app on the TV, or push it from a computer with adb using adb connect and adb install.
  3. Install and open. Open the downloaded file to install it, then launch PickAVI from your apps and sign in.

Android phones and tablets

  1. Download the APK. Open this page in Chrome (or any browser) on your phone or tablet and tap the download button above.
  2. Allow the install. When the download finishes, open it. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps, then go back and tap Install.
  3. Open and sign in. Launch PickAVI from your home screen or app drawer and sign in.
A Google Play listing is planned for later, which will remove the sideloading steps.
